On Sunday we celebrated our five year anniversary of rescuing our black Labrador Retriever.
I’m still stumped why any Lab has to be “rescued”.
Why any Lab would be in a shelter in the first place.
And the shelter in South Los Angeles…
It’s beyond me.
I get why there are pit bulls.
Spay & neuter your fighting dogs “pets” people!
I get why there are Chihuahuas.
Yap, yap, yap.
But I just don’t understand why Labradors are in shelters.
But that’s just me.
Long story short.
She was skinny.
Had big bald spots.
Punctures.
Bite marks.
And she was nervous and scared.
But oh so trusting!
We took her out sailing the next weekend.
What were we thinking…?
Five years of loving on this face.
Long walks.
Lots of hair.
Everywhere…
Wouldn’t trade it!
Spay.
Neuter.
Rescue.
And if you have a few extra dollars, there are loads of amazing rescue organizations that need help.
