Twenty minutes that will be etched into our memories forever.
Sometimes we wish we were someplace else…
Ok, so this wasn’t so much fun.
Looking back, no big deal.
But at the time?
Yes, we do
sometimes rarely take our boat out!
And we did!
And a little flashback to Cuyler Harbor, San Miguel Island.
Southern California’s best beach!
Hard to get to.
Simply a perfect spot for a Sunday!
Or any day…
Bahia de los Muertos.
Now they call it something touristy like Bahia de Los Suenos.
Bay of Dreams.
Better than Bay of Dead I guess…
Off the top of my head, I can’t count the number of times we have anchored there.
Let’s just go with several.
One amazing time?
After sailing the catamaran from Southern California…
Past Cabo San Pucas.
A little time in San Jose del Cabo.
A little time in Frailes.
Cruiser plans and graffiti.
Written in the sand at low tide.
My mind wanders back to a time when I was warm (too warm).
The sun was shining (and burning).
The water was clear (and inviting).
The fish were jumping.
And being caught.
Throw back to The Sea of Cortez and a day of fishing.
Ugh – my poor cockpit…
Dinner was quite fabulous however!
Well, not for the fish…
I have a busy work week ahead.
One co-worker on vacation…
And a busy schedule this week.
Not really looking forward to it…
Sort of feeling like a storm is brewing.
Reminds me of riding out Hurricane Norbert in Costa Baja Marina in La Paz.
But the sunset after the hurricane blew through?
It started with this.
This love of boating of mine.
The smell of the saltwater.
The lap of the waves against the hull (not big ones though – been there, done that).
The birds (except cormorants and I really don’t care much for seagulls either).
The whales (not that we ever saw those on the Chesapeake Bay).
Just being on the boat (on the water of course, not on the hard in a boat yard).
