Top 5 Adventures ~ We Were Tagged!

So yeah, this is always fun!
And to be tagged in a third generation ~ very cool.
Super hard to narrow our top 5 adventures down, but hey, we did it!

La Paz to Agua Verde ~ A Sailing Flashback!

Time for a little flash from the past.
Some of our favorite Mexico cruising grounds are North of La Paz, Baja California.
Quiet anchorages.
Sea life.
Oh, and cows on the beach!

Hauling Our 49′ Ocean Catamaran for Bottom Paint!

Well it was time.
Actually it was time a couple of years ago…

Sea of Cortez ~ a Glimpse… A Sailing Flashback!

Sometimes we wish we were someplace else…

Riding out Hurricane Norbert in La Paz ~ A Sailing Flashback!

Ok, so this wasn’t so much fun.
Looking back, no big deal.
But at the time?
Somewhat frightening…

Sailing Trip to Prisoners Harbor ~ Santa Cruz Island

Yes, we do sometimes rarely take our boat out!
And we did!

Like a lake on the way out!

Pre-Sunset Sunday

And a little flashback to Cuyler Harbor, San Miguel Island.
Southern California’s best beach!
Hard to get to.
Simply a perfect spot for a Sunday!
Or any day…

Afternoon wine and sandy toes.

Monday Memories ~ Muertos, Baja California Sur

Bahia de los Muertos.
Now they call it something touristy like Bahia de Los Suenos.
Bay of Dreams.
Better than Bay of Dead I guess…
Off the top of my head, I can’t count the number of times we have anchored there.
Let’s just go with several.
One amazing time?
After sailing the catamaran from Southern California…
Past Cabo San Pucas.
A little time in San Jose del Cabo.
A little time in Frailes.

Frailes to Espiritu Santo 222.jpg
Proof we were there.

Cruiser plans and graffiti.
Written in the sand at low tide.

Frailes to Espiritu Santo 138
Poop machines. Graceful in flight. Not so graceful on land…
Frailes to Espiritu Santo 152
Amazing, clear water.
Frailes to Espiritu Santo 164
Great for bottom cleaning (boat bottom, humans too in reality), swimming, kayaking and being at anchor.
Frailes to Espiritu Santo 215
Bahia de los Muertos.

Throw Up Thursday

My mind wanders back to a time when I was warm (too warm).
The sun was shining (and burning).
The water was clear (and inviting).
The fish were jumping.
And being caught.
Mahi Mahi!
Dolphin Fish!
Throw back to The Sea of Cortez and a day of fishing.

A Catch!

And bleeding.

Hence the blog post title…

And cleaning.

Go boys!

Ugh – my poor cockpit…
Dinner was quite fabulous however!
Well, not for the fish…
